Michael stays involved in his community through a variety of projects and professional memberships.
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORSŪ/Penn Mar Association of REALTORSŪ - Through these memberships Michael insures that he is current on new legislation and business updates that affect the Real Estate market and industry.
Neighborhoods First - Neighborhoods First is a community group, which exist to plan public events and beautification projects throughout the City of Hagerstown. Recent activities include the Annual Hagerstown Easter Parade, concerts at the Hagerstown Fairgrounds Park and park improvement suggestions.
Hagerstown/Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau - By staying involved with the Visitors Bureau, Michael maintains awareness of planned events and upcoming functions throughout the City and County.
Skills & Abilities:
Michael has always had a desire to be self-employed and has taken the necessary steps to make that goal happen.
Michael was a General Partner in Crystal Image Productions, a video and photography production company. Michael produced marketing videos for many companies throughout the Tri-State area including Broadfording Christian Academy, Frederick Memorial Hospital and the Frederick County Board of Education.
Michael also has a background in construction, as he was a General Partner in Apex Painting, a professional home and apartment painting contracting company.
Currently Michael is the President of Potomac Realty Investments, Inc. (PRI, Inc) a Real Estate development and holding corporation based out of Hagerstown Maryland. PRI, Inc. specializes in land development as well as ownership of multi-family rental units. Current projects include the development of a vacation rental home inventory.
After working as a licensed REALTORŪ with O'Conor, Piper & Flynn ERA and then CENTURY 21 MG Realty for 7.5 years, Michael took the next step in his successful Real Estate career. In October of 2006 Michael officially opened CENTURY 21 Market Professionals in Historic Downtown Hagerstown, Maryland. CENTURY 21 Market Professionals operates differently from how most Brokerage Firms now operate. They operate the entire Firm from a "Team" prospective. This pays off big for the consumer as they are guaranteed to get the same quality service, marketing systems and experience, regardless of which agent they work with. The team system allows agents to become highly specialized in different areas of the Real Estate industry rather then being all things to all clients.
Michael has also been involved in a number of other jobs that enable him to perform as an above average REALTORŪ. Michael worked as a sales associate with Ritz Camera, he worked in Loan Origination with Prudential Home Mortgage Services and worked in a supervisory position at the Review & Herald Publishing Association.
Michael and Julie Draper reside in Hagerstown Maryland with their 6-year old Wheaten/Terrier named Kala.
